Hello! We all like to get stronger and help our muscles recover after a long workout, but we hate it when we have disgusting protein shakes. Sure you may resort to some things like Quest Protein Bars (which are absolutely delicious) but sometimes you just need a ton of protein in a drink and fast. Luckily for you, I have the secret to making the best tasting, simple, and easy to make protein shake at home using only milk, protein powder, ice, and a blender!
This drink should only take a few minutes to make, have great macros, and get you synthesizing that muscle right away. Additionally, this protein shake will taste great and not leave any heartburn or leave your stomach reeling.

Your ingredients may differ slightly based on what type of milk and protein powder you use, but the general idea is still the same, personally I use:
- 2 scoops of Muscle Milk Protein Powder Genuine Chocolate
- 1 cup of 2% milk (although you can get skim/1%/whole/whatever)
- Ice Cubes (I typically use 4)
Some people like to add fruits to their shake and this is a great way to add vitamins and give you some energy throughout the day as well as great taste. I would recommend adding a banana or blueberries to this shake to add some fruit in your diet.
How To Make
Setup your blender and then you will start out by assembling the following three ingredients in any order:
- Putting the 2 scoops of Muscle Milk Protein Powder Genuine Chocolate
- 1 cup of your milk
- The Ice Cubes
Once combined I like to stir it around a bit, then hit blend and blend the shake until the ice cubes are crushed and the drink is smooth.
How To Enjoy
Once you blend the drink, simply empty it into a cup and enjoy! It should have a thick consistency like a normal chocolate shake.
Assuming you haven’t changed the ingredients this is what the macros on your shake will look like, if you have changed the ingredients your mileage may vary but it should be around the same.
